Methodology

First, the teacher will show the musical video of the colors for the first time so that the children can watch and listen to it. Later they will listen to it again so that the children try to sing the name of the colors all together. Then, the teacher will explain that there are different colors and that when they are mixed some others appear, what is commonly known as primary and secondary colours.

Immediately afterwards, the teacher will put into practice what he or she has to experiment with the colours and to consolidate a more meaningful learning. We will go to the room of the light. This room, it is a conditioned clasroom with fluorescent lights that make everything shine in the darkness. In this way, the children will have continuous paper, acrylic paintings, colours - forms, stickers, etc. So that the children are able to experiment with colors and to mix them to see that new others can be created, as we have previously explained. The children will do it with their hands and feet and, at the same time, they will listen to the colours song in English and sing it at the same time.

Finally, to work on literacy skills, they will write the name of the colours. They will have a few drawings with fruits in different colours and they will have to write the name of them. In addition, the teacher will show a picture of the rainbow so that the children can identify the colours in English. Therefore we will try to solve the problem arosen at the very beginning of the lesson: What are the colours of the rainbow? (If there is not enough time, the latter part would be coried out in the following session).
